What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to patients
• Assist with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• Safely handle and restrain patients while prioritizing comfort and well-being
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples as appropriate
• Administer medications and treatments under veterinarian direction
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia, patient monitoring, and recovery as appropriate to your skill level
• Educate clients and communicate veterinary recommendations in a clear, professional, and understandable way
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
• Build positive relationships with clients, teammates, and hospital leadership
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to achieve positive outcomes
• Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment and patient-care areas
• Support teammates and contribute to an efficient, positive hospital environment
