Retail Flavor Expert – Gatlinburg

The Spice & Tea Exchange is seeking a Retail Flavor Expert for our Gatlinburg location. The position focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining product inventory, and creating a welcoming shop environment.

• Provide stellar customer service to guests.
• Maintain inventory levels, price products and keep shelves organized.
• Blend and package spices, seasonings, teas and other loose‑leaf items.
• Stay current on product knowledge and recipe specifications.
• Measure ingredients accurately and follow recipes.

• Operate a cash register and process transactions.
• Greet guests, help them locate products and provide recommendations.
• Package and restock items, keeping the shop tidy.
• Open and close the shop and serve as a keyholder.

Primarily a closer, 4–5 nights per week (Wednesday–Sunday). Work approximately 36 hours per week in either five 7‑hour shifts or four 9‑hour shifts. Closing time is 9 or 10 PM, with an additional 30 minutes after closing. Employees may be alone for the final 1–2 hours of the shift.
