Overview
Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance required to maintain the physical structure and equipment in the most reliable and economical operating condition. Responsible for responding quickly to any internal disaster and take charge at the scene until relieved by competent authority. Responsible for following budget restraints when ordering and using parts and materials.

Qualifications- Required
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision.
- Ability to inspect equipment and systems and identify conditions requiring repair or corrective action.
- Working knowledge of common hand tools and testing equipment used in maintenance trades.
- Knowledge of and commitment to following established safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret instructions and prepare basic specifications.
- Basic working knowledge of plumbing systems, including compressed gas, potable water, drain-waste-vent, steam and condensate systems, as well as electrical generation, distribution, and utilization systems and equipment. Knowledge of central and package heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is also required.
- Ability to perform mechanical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs.
- Willingness to respond to emergency calls during off-duty hours.
- 5+ years building mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent.
- Preferred Experience:
Ten (10) years experience in hospital maintenance work.
