Job Description

The Fitness Center Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of the Flagler College Fitness Center to ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff. This position plays a key role in facility supervision, customer service, and upholding the standards of Campus Recreation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide high-quality student experiences & customer service
• Greet and check-in participants
• Enforce facility policies and procedures consistently and professionally
• Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and safety practices
• Monitors facility for safety hazards and cleanliness
• Provide basic equipment orientations and assist patrons with general fitness-related questions
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to professional staff
• Completion of daily tasks as assigned
• Assist with special events, group fitness classes, or departmental initiatives as needed
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Red Cross CPR/AED Preferred (May be contained after hire)
