This is NOT a City of St. Augustine/Government position.

Have fun driving the downtown connector municipal shuttle. Historic Tours of America has been contracted by the City of St. Augustine to provide staff and service for the downtown city shuttle.

This is a non-spieling role. Must have a good sense of fun, desire for customer service and hospitality, as well as excellent driving skills as you drive a shuttle on the streets of St. Augustine.

Must have a CDL with Passenger Endorsement.

• Drive a vehicle 24-34 feet in length with passengers safely and competently on busy public streets, multiple times a shift
• Meet and deal with the general public and diverse company employees promptly and courteously
• Handle stressful situations and difficult people calmly and courteously, both in person and via radio
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch
• Perform daily interior and exterior physical inspection of the vehicle and complete required departmental documents

• Ability to safely drive a 24-34 foot vehicle on busy public streets or company property
• Ability to work independently over long periods within established rules and regulations
• Ability to handle unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people calmly and courteously
• Strong mental attitude to handle job stress
• Ability to read, write, and speak clear English to communicate with coworkers, general public, law enforcement, and emergency personnel, and to complete paperwork correctly

• Must be 21 years old
• Valid Florida Class C or higher CDL with passenger endorsement
• Acceptable driving record for past three years
• Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing
• Valid DOT physical required
