Striping Machine Laborer

Overview

The Roadway Pavement Marking and Striping Laborer performs temporary and permanent pavement marking application. The role requires adherence to federal, state, local regulations, company policies and safety guidelines. Weekly pay, overtime available, open schedule required.

• Assist the Machine Operator with Highway Marking operations.
• Operate various types of pavement marking equipment.
• Load and unload equipment and materials into and out of company trucks.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during day or night shifts.
• Assist with lane closures and set‑up of traffic control devices.
• Complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor.
• Work days, nights, weekends as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years of pavement marking and Traffic Control or related industry experience.
• MOT Advanced certification.

• Repeated physical effort: driving, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, loading/unloading equipment.
• Work from elevated platforms, ladders, or truck beds.
• Operate hand and power tools, use keyboards and smartphones.
• Work outdoors in adverse environmental conditions and high‑speed traffic areas.
• Maintain awareness of moving vehicles and construction activity.
• Adequate vision and hearing to read signs and respond to commands.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal form; complete daily paperwork.
• Work flexible schedule, including day/night shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime; work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver’s license; pass MVR, controlled substance test, background check.
• Maintain company standards post‑employment for background checks and drug testing.
