Full Time

The Warehouse Associate / Back-up Driveris responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. This role also serves as a back-up delivery driver, ensuringtimelyand safe transportation of goods to customers or job sites when needed.

Youwill:

Warehouse

Receiving:

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, packing slips, or requisition todetermineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Marks materials with identifying information.

Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

Verifies and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

Drives equipment to transport items within the warehouse.

Uses computer to enter records.

Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

Put away:

Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product code.

Sortsand stores stocked goods in warehouse.

Marks materials with identifying information.

Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.

Picking:

Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to customers and sales.

Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

Packing:

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition todetermineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.

Confirm tickets.

Uses computer to enter records.

Loading

Consolidatesfreight for shipping.

Driver

Communicate with sales associates or managers through problem solving to meet customer needs.

Acts in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and World associates.

Ensure truck is in safe operating condition andmaintainsa clean appearance.

Ability tofrequentlylift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.

Construct pallets based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.

Participate in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Clean Motor Vehicle Record Required

Requirements:

Ability to:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Writeroutine reports and correspondence.

Add, subtract,multiplyand divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Compute rate, ratio, and percent andto drawand interpret bar graphs.

Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet

Previous forklift/cherry picker experience

Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)
