Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities for the company and related subsidiaries. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP standards. You'll work closely with the finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting month-end close processes, audit preparation, and cross-functional initiatives with production teams.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a paperless environment, and is passionate about contributing to a growing organization in the healthcare manufacturing space.
- Perform general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Prepare monthly financials, reports, and schedules.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Post intercompany transactions, journal entries and balance intercompany accounts.
- Review A/R and perform collection duties.
- Provide support for outside auditors by gathering necessary account information and backup documentation for quarterly and annual audits.
- Participate in quarterly inventory process with production.
- Follow US GAAP accounting practices and procedures.
- Cross train with A/P to serve as a proficient backup.
- At least 3 years of related accounting experience in a manufacturing setting (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and willingness to work in a paperless environment
- Knowledge of ASC 606, Revenue Recognition, and application of Unearned Revenues
- Working knowledge of cost accounting
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to US GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Sage 100 ERP Accounting Software
- Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidations
- Previous experience supporting external audits
- Familiarity with inventory accounting in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor of Science in Accounting required
Pay & Benefits Summary- Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience
