The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining the laboratories ISO/IEC 17025 management system. The role works with laboratory personnel to keep management system documents and processes relevant and leads continuous improvement activities to ensure system compliance and effectiveness. It requires independent work with thoroughness and efficiency while maintaining a high level of overall quality.
Job DescriptionObjective
The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the laboratories ISO/IEC 17025 management system. This position works with laboratory personnel to maintain the relevance of management system documents and processes. In addition, this position leads continuous improvement activities to ensure system compliance and effectiveness.
Essential Responsibilities- Develop procedures, work instructions, templates and various forms/records to ensure processes meet quality standard requirements.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to create and revise documents as needed to maintain system compliance and effectiveness.
- Coordinate and lead the implementation of improvements.
- Train personnel on the management system and communicate changes.
- Lead and manage the internal audit process.
- Manage information and requirements in the ISO/IEC 17025 registrar portal.
- Perform periodic audits of testing process for thoroughness of documentation and records.
- Review management system documents for relevancy and suitability.
- Maintain customer specific requirements.
- Maintain personnel training records and competence matrix.
- Maintain the corrective action database.
- Monitor performance metrics/milestones and create reports for management.
- Supports company accreditation activities as it pertains to the laboratory.
- Performs other job related and support activity duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to understand requirements in external standards.
- Good understanding of personal computers in the workplace and associated software, such as Microsoft Windows and Office.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, Jira, and TortoiseSVN, a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage workload to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Detail oriented and effective follow-up skills.
