Our esteemed client near St. Charles, IL is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Engineering Technician/Fire Sprinkler Designer! In this position, you would be responsible for working with their team of salespersons, project managers, and field crews to layout and design fully functional fire sprinkler systems. Up to 1-2 days per week from home!
Work in a team environment to design water- based fire protection systems. Work will include all aspects of the system design including CAD layout, code interpretation, design submittal, and coordination. This individual will also continue to support the project through installation and turn over to the Owner.
Requirements- 1+ years of CAD design and layout experience required; fire sprinkler design experience or similar a plus!
- Experience with Hydra
CAD, Auto Sprink or similar a plus - Experience using Bluebeam, Adobe Pro to markup and package PDF's a plus
- Self-motivated, driven, possess strong attention to detail, the ability to multi- task ongoing projects, and have a strong sense of teamwork
- Experience with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word required
- High school diploma/GED required
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree with engineering emphasis preferred
