Job Summary
A Test Systems Technician assists in the construction of various test systems and test tools necessary to evaluate automotive components to ensure conformance to customer requirements.

Reports To:
D&D Test Systems Group Lead
- Assemble tester cabinets according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
- Fabricate and modify test system components.
- Build tester harnesses.
- Perform verification and measurement analysis testing using DMMs and oscilloscopes.
- Maintain test equipment, tools, and systems.
- Assist in the development of new test system designs.

Education:
Associate's or 2‑year degree
Certifications:
N/A
- Good understanding of basic wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of test and measurement equipment (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope).
- May operate bench lathes, drills, or other machine tools to fabricate parts such as tester fixtures, terminal boards, and chassis.
- Good soldering skills required (SMT and through‑hole technologies).
- Good PC skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Understanding of PCB layout concepts and PCB fabrication methods.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Strong written and oral communication.
Use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
