Position: Vice President Information Technology (Confidential for Client)
Location: St. Charles

The Vice President of Technology will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technology strategy of the organization. This leadership position requires a seasoned technology executive who can provide direction, innovation, and oversight to ensure the successful development and deployment of cutting‑edge technology solutions that align with the company's objectives and growth initiatives. (This role is located in St.

Charles, IL).

This role will manage IT operations including help desk support, networking, cybersecurity, and vendor partnerships. The VP of Technology reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and directly oversee the Director of Enterprise Applications & Analytics role to ensure technology initiatives align with organizational goals as well as IT operations roles.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Strategic Planning:
    Developing, implementing, and maintaining technology initiatives to enhance competitiveness.
  • Team Leadership:
    Mentoring high-performance teams, including IT professionals and engineers.
  • Budgeting & Vendor Management:
    Managing technology budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost‑effective solutions and value for money.
  • Monitor expenditures and optimize resource allocation across IT operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology investments that improve operational efficiency.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
  • Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security across all systems and services.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Manage the organization's endpoint devices, mobile device management, and desktop support services.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT systems.
  • Direct the IT help desk function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues and service requests.
  • Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) for IT support services.
  • Develop and deliver end‑user training programs to improve technology adoption and productivity.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data, systems, and networks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices for information security.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and coordinate incident response activities.
  • Work collaboratively with MSP/MSSP vendor partner(s) to ensure high‑quality service delivery to the organization.
  • Monitor and measure MSP/MSSP vendor partner SLAs and performance metrics.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure cost‑effective solutions from external providers.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of IT staff.
  • Build a collaborative team environment focused on service excellence and operational efficiency.
Budget & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost‑effective solutions and value for money.
  • Monitor expenditures and optimize resource allocation across IT operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology investments that improve operational efficiency.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with the Director of Enterprise Applications & Analytics on technology initiatives requiring infrastructure support.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in IT operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Required Skills
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's in a related field) is a plus.
