Suburbs Branch | Tool Room Technician

Pay Rate: $42,000 – $52,000 annually |

Supports the Tool & Die department in maintaining and organizing tools, cleaning mold components, assisting with assembly/disassembly, and supporting basic machine maintenance in a plastics manufacturing facility.

• Assist Tool & Die Makers with mold/tool preparation and teardown
• Clean and assemble mold parts; basic polishing
• Maintain and organize tool inventory and storage areas
• Retrieve and return tools for machinists and production staff
• Perform minor maintenance on machines (cleaning, oiling)
• Track and label tool components for repair/replacement
• Follow safety, PPE, and food safety protocols

• Hand tools
• Shop cleaning tools
• Basic mechanical equipment

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic mechanical aptitude or shop experience preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to learn tool/die and machining processes
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious
