A Test Systems Technician assists in the construction of various test systems and test tools necessary to evaluate automotive components to ensure conformance to customer requirements. This position is carried out with thoroughness and competence in order to produce reliable test results and maintain a high standard of quality.
Essential Responsibilities- Assemble tester cabinets according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
- Fabricate and modify test system components.
- Build tester harnesses.
- Perform verification and measurement analysis testing using DMMs and oscilloscopes.
- Maintain test equipment, tools, and systems.
- Assist in the development of new test system designs.

CertificationsN/A
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Good understanding of basic wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of test and measurement equipment (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope).
- May operate bench lathes, drills, or other machine tools to fabricate parts, such as tester fixtures, terminal boards, and chassis.
- Good soldering skills are required (SMT and through‑hole technologies).
- Good PC skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio.
- Understanding of PCB layout concepts and PCB fabrication methods.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Strong written and oral communication.
