Position: ICT Technician (In Circuit Testing / manufacturing)
Location: St. Charles

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Mfg. Process Engineering Group Manager, ensure that ICT failures are analyzed, root cause of the failure is identified, and corrective action is implemented.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform visual inspection and electrical testing of all ICT failures.
  • Identify the root cause of the failure based on ICT output file and multi‑meter/bridge readings.
  • Identify soldering issues with failed boards based on IPC-610 Nidec Quality Standards.
  • Fix issues identified or instruct inspectors on how to correct them.
  • Record failure reasons in the ICT test database.
  • Set up the ICT machine to run failed boards.
  • Analyze ICT first-pass and final yields using automated reports from the ICT database and recommend corrective actions to ICT technicians.
  • Generate weekly Excel reports on overall ICT rework work‑in‑process levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times and complete daily clean‑up at shift end.
  • Participate in cross‑training activities with related positions.
  • Support and participate in the company’s management and quality system, including continuous improvement efforts.
  • Notify supervisors, group leaders, or technicians of any problems or nonconforming products.
  • Support and implement the environmental policy as it pertains to work activities.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the enumerated activities.
Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years in an analysis/inspection role in electronics manufacturing.

Education: Associate’s or 2‑Year Degree.

Certifications: N/A.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 3+ years experience in electronics manufacturing analysis/inspection; working knowledge of troubleshooting electronic circuits; proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel; 3+ years experience in solder inspection/repair; ability to read circuit diagrams.
