** 2ND SHIFT: 3:00PM-1:00AM

* PURPOSE:

** To inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure they meet customer specifications.
** RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Accurately document all quality checks utilizing a tablet.
* Taste product to ensure it matches the flavor of the standard.
* Check the weights of the product being produced to ensure they are within range.
* Inspect all aspects of packaging to ensure the product container is in good condition with proper coding.
* Ensure all food safety standards are being followed and address respectfully to get behaviors corrected.
* Preform all quality processes following written procedures.
* Complete visual and swabbing inspections prior to operational of equipment.
* Test metal detectors, x-ray machines, and check weighers to ensure proper functioning.
* Place non-conforming product on hold and escalate the concerns.
* Conduct laboratory-testing procedures such as brix, density, flowability, sensory and weights as required.
* Utilize chronometers, refractometers, moistures, scales, pH equipment, air pumps, vacuum chambers, and incubators to complete testing.
* Communicate and collaborate with different departments and at all levels of the organization.
* Understand all of the information contained within a product specification sheet.
* Oversee PEM programs are following the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules.
* Assist with any nonconforming product and ensure good communication with 3rd party laboratory vendor.
* Other duties as assigned.
** REQUIREMENTS:
*** At least one year working in food manufacturing is preferred.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic computer skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to read and interpret specifications.
* Problem solving and decision making skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Lift up to 50 lbs.
* Walk or stand 95% of the time.
* Overtime availability based upon company needs.
