• Pay Range $21.57/hr – $26.97/hr + $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift and $1.50 shift differential for the 3rd shift

• 2nd: 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday
• 3rd: 11:00pm – 7:00am, Monday – Friday

Assistant Cup Operator position is responsible for feeding WIP blanks to cup machines and assisting the Cup Operator in all phases of cup machine operation. The role includes machine startups, shutdowns, jam clearing, bottom stock splicing, oil reservoir filling, scrap bin emptying, sweeping, floor cleaning, and minor machine adjustments. This position provides a path to progression toward a full Operator role.

• Maintain operation of feed bed by consistently feeding WIP on the conveyors
• Feed 5–7 conveyors continuously
• Check quality of WIP consistently and sort out bad WIP. Notify Operator of wrinkled stock, excessive offset or haze, ink spots, misregister, or excessive scrap. Recognize all applicable defects and report to the Cup Operator
• Start and stop machines and clear jams
• Read and understand job jackets to ensure correct materials are used for each job
• Ensure oil reservoirs are filled
• Make bottom stock splices and inspect cups after splice
• Manually web the bottom stock
• Know where standards are located and follow the standards
• Empty scrap bins
• Sweep floor and maintain housekeeping throughout the shift
• Help cover Packers for breaks as necessary
• Apply appropriate lockout/tag out procedures as necessary
• Use safety interlock system and keys
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Spot for scissor lift operation
• Help train new assistants

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• 1 year of related experience
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills
