## Description
*
* PURPOSE:
** To produce high-quality blended formulas and provide finished good blends to the Packaging department.
** RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Review and understand the daily blending schedule and shift expectations.
* Verify that the equipment being used is in good working order. Complete inspection forms as necessary.
* Weigh, stage, blend, or dump formulas according to the schedule.
* Verify all ingredients and quantities align with the batch formulas and are introduced to the blender in the proper sequence.
* Ensure the correct tools are used in accordance with our color code policy.
* Utilize a manual or electric pallet jack to transport material or hoppers.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
* Complete all necessary forms in Safety Chain.
* Provide samples to quality as needed.
* Lead the blending process and guide team members working at blenders.
* Always follow safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
* Communicate via radio and face-to-face throughout the department on material needs and process progression.
* Utilize an RF scanner to transfer materials to jobs, hoppers, or packaging lines.
* Complete necessary documentation for the batch.
* Communicate with packaging and quality as needed.
* Ensure all processes are completed in a timely manner.
* Assist and direct other team members as needed.
* Train new associates as needed.
* Participate in company inventory count and other assignments as needed.
* Other tasks as assigned.## Qualifications
** REQUIREMENTS:
*** Lift up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
* Stand or walk 98% of the shift.
* Bending, twisting, stooping motions 80% of time
* Basic knowledge of an RF scanner is a plus. Ability to calculate simple mathematical figures and understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
* Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues.
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Experience in manufacturing or food environment is a plus.
