The Retail Team Leader is a full‑time, on‑site role based in St Charles, IL, responsible for supporting daily store operations and leading by example on the sales floor. This role assists in driving sales by delivering exceptional customer service, coaching team members on product knowledge, and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all shoppers. The Retail Team Leader helps oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, merchandising standards, and maintaining a clean, organized store.
This position also supports scheduling, onboarding, and day‑to‑day guidance of store associates to ensure consistent execution of brand standards. The role collaborates closely with Store Management to meet sales goals, uphold company policies, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
- Strong customer‑facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Experience, with a focus on building rapport and fostering loyalty.
- Proficiency in Store Management and Operations Management, including basic scheduling, inventory support, and adherence to store processes.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, coaching team members, and partnering with leadership.
- Previous retail or hospitality experience, ideally in a supervisory or key holder role.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move product as needed, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and a collaborative approach to working in a team‑oriented environment.
- Interest in fashion, accessories, or lifestyle brands and enthusiasm for representing the Vera Bradley brand and values.
