Compensation

Hourly: $20.55 - $25.05 (based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies). Base pay may be supplemented by a performance-based incentive plan.

The Person al Banker role involves interacting with customers in person and over the phone to assess their financial needs and provide relevant retail products and digital solutions. The position is based at the St. Peters location, 6271 Mid Rivers Mall, St. Peters, Missouri 63304, and is part‑time.

• Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone to meet customers’ financial needs.
• Actively listen to customers, make appropriate recommendations based on their needs, and achieve individual and team sales and services goals.
• Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions to enhance their financial wellness.
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish relationships with other internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex financial needs are identified.
• Utilize tools, resources, and training to succeed in the role and pursue career advancement within Commerce Bank.
• Earn compensation above base pay through quarterly incentive programs.

• Interact with customers both in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are being met through needs‑based conversations and sales fulfillment.
• Actively listen, understand, and make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to ensure individual and team sales and services goals are achieved.
• Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that enhance the customer experience and contribute to achieving sales goals.
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience through in‑person and phone interactions.
• Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer services expectations.
• Motivated and organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with Commerce Bank’s culture and core values.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• High school diploma or equivalent, combined with at least 1 year of sales or customer service experience.
• Experience working in an environment with individual and team sales goals is preferred.
• The position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education.
