Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure optimal operation of our production machinery. The role involves troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems, replacing components such as motors, sensors, relays, and switches, and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules. You will work with mixers, blenders, mills, injectors, extruders, and conveyors, and perform PLC troubleshooting through inputs and outputs.
Your ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics will be essential.
- Troubleshoot production machinery and perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Replace motors, sensors, relays, and switches.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules diligently.
- Maintain mixers, blenders, mills, injectors, extruders, and conveyors.
- Conduct PLC troubleshooting through inputs and outputs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Ensure compliance with 480v electrical standards and arc flash training requirements.
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Expertise in 480v electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and prints.
- PLC troubleshooting skills with inputs and outputs.
- Experience with servos, AC/DC, and VFD control troubleshooting.
- Hydraulic troubleshooting capabilities.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs and work under machines for extended periods.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automation, welding, and pneumatics.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and retain taught skills.
Join our team in a fast-paced, updated facility that is air-conditioned, although some areas may be dusty due to product mixing. We have just opened a new building with state-of-the-art automated equipment. The work schedule includes 2 openings on day shift from 6am to 6pm and 2 openings on night shift from 6pm to 6am, following a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. Training will be conducted on the first shift from 8am to 4:30pm.
Our environment requires reliable individuals who are mechanically inclined and can learn quickly. Employees have access to PPE equipment free of charge and are provided with a uniform upon their first day, receiving clean uniforms weekly.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
