  • Must live within commutable distance to St. Charles, IL.
Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, develop, implement, and deploy web applications, new interfaces, and web services.
  • Provide support for existing systems and deliver end‑to‑end solutions for complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain the software framework and services using .NET and Microsoft technologies.
  • Interact with business analysts and clients to understand business problems.
  • Review project requirements and assess and estimate the necessary time‑to‑completion.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and unit testing of new development.
  • Document new development, procedures, or test plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other development teams to ensure a consistent approach to software development.
  • Deploy all integration artifacts to a testing and production environment.
  • Work with the application support team to ensure production processing runs smoothly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (foreign education equivalent accepted).
  • At least seven (7) years of experience as a Senior Associate, Software Application and API Developer, or related occupation with annuity administration responsibilities.
  • Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and deploying web applications and services using .NET technologies, including web services and microservices architecture.
  • Experience in the operations and administration of annuity administration systems, including configuration, maintenance, and support.
  • Experience designing and implementing unit testing frameworks that ensure high code quality using , ASP.NET, SQL Server, C#, JavaScript, XML, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP‑based APIs and microservices, documenting with Swagger, and testing with Postman and SOAP UI.
  • Experience migrating and converting data to consolidate annuity administration platforms, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience building, maintaining, implementing, and optimizing actuarial models in a  environment using Excel and VBA.
  • Proficiency in communicating complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work on site three days per month.
