Position: Truck Driver CDL A Part Time Home Daily
Location: St. Charles

Position Summary

Shuttle Transfer Driver – Immediate opening at Ryder in St. Charles, IL. Responsible for safely transporting equipment between Ryder customer facilities, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Drivers will start at 8:00 AM, work local overnight shifts (or schedule options), and are paid weekly with hourly wage of $22.50.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a commercial tractor‑trailer in accordance with DOT and company safety policies.
  • Transport equipment and empty trailers between Ryder customer facilities.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs and records.
  • Perform routine pre‑trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are met.
  • Provide excellent customer service and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
  • Follow written and/or oral instructions, interpret regulations, and uphold company standards.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum age 21.
  • Valid CDL Class A with required endorsements for a tractor‑trailer.
  • Class A driving experience: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within past 5 years, OR 5 years within past 10 years.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a Ryder background, motor‑vehicle safety, and drug/alcohol verification check (previous employers for last 3 years).
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and company policies.
  • Strong safety focus; ability to follow written and oral instructions.
