Position Description
We are immediately hiring a Shuttle Transfer Driver for Ryder in St Charles, IL. This role involves driving a commercial vehicle to shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities. Pay is hourly at $22.50 per hour with weekly payroll, paid training, and a schedule of 25+ hours per week with home time local daily. Start time is 8:00 AM on alternating days:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test
- Hold a valid CDL with required endorsements
- Class A tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle experience: 9 months in past 3 years or 2 years in past 5 years or 5 years in past 10 years
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and interpret laws, rules, and regulations
- Safely drive a commercial vehicle, complying with DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs and perform other assigned tasks
- 80 hours paid time off in first year, use it or receive paid use
- Uniforms and boot allowance provided
