* PURPOSE:

** To safely utilize a forklift to move material throughout the facility.
** RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Drive a forklift safely, following Company guidelines.
* Maintain warehouse and lift truck cleanliness according to good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
* Correctly receive, transfer, ship or store material, supplies, or equipment.
* Load and unload trailers with product, recycling, supplies, etc.
* Ensure accurate records of material movements are tracked via the RF scanner.
* Utilize RF scanner to find material locations.
* Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out), philosophy when pulling/placing product.
* Move, stack and organize materials in designated storage areas.
* Communicate with individuals in and out of the department to ensure what task needs to be completed.
* Identify and report any damaged materials or shortages.
* Complete a pre-inspection checklist to ensure the forklift is in proper working order.
* Ensure all items have proper labels if needed.
* Assist in stock takes/inventory counts.
* Assist in audit preparation of area.
* Follow all safety and GMP requirements.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
** REQUIREMENTS:
*** Valid driver’s license required.
* One or more years of forklift experience.
* Experience in manufacturing and/or food environment is a plus.
* Lift up to 50 lbs.
* RF scanner experience is a plus.
* Ability to calculate simple mathematical figures.
* Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
* Good communication skills.
* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
