Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

We are seeking a hands‑on, problem‑solving Controller to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. This is a key role in a small company where you’ll be involved in the day‑to‑day accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement.

The Controller will supervise one accounting employee and have opportunity for growth and increased responsibility as the company expands.

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations.
• Manage and review multiple sets of books.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee reconciliations, month‑end close, and year‑end close.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions and proper application of accounting principles.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Work closely with company leadership on financial reporting and analysis.
• Use Excel extensively for reporting, analysis, and problem‑solving.
• Supervise, train, and support one accounting team member.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting management or supervisory experience.
• Significant accounting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Thorough understanding of debits, credits, and accounting fundamentals.
• Experience working with multiple sets of books.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Willingness to be a hands‑on contributor who gets into the details and solves problems.
