Job Location: This position will be located at 7545 South Lindbergh Blvd., Ste. 210, St. Louis, MO 63125.

Overview

The Administrative Support Assistant position in the Bureau of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention (BCDCP) is an important member of a diverse team of professionals working in a fast-paced environment. The primary role of BCDCP is to conduct surveillance and response activities for the prevention and control of communicable diseases. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Complete and review expenditures, inventories, and various financial forms.
  • Utilize word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of meetings and trainings and secure hotel and rental car reservations
  • Assist team members with office operations, including mail services and printing.
  • Represent the program with exemplary customer service and professional phone etiquette.
  • Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain supply inventories.
  • Submit and track documents through the routing and approval process.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
  • Graduate with High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
  • One or more years of related office support experience preferred.
  • Good telephone skills and customer service.
  • Well organized and the ability to pay attention to detail.
