St. Charles County Department of Public Health is in need of part-time, temporary staffing support with the Vital Records program.

The Vital Records program needs staffing for 16-20 hours per week. The position will require a small amount of training and credentialing to retrieve state birth and death records.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Answering incoming calls

* Assisting public with inquiries about vital records

* Processing vital record applications

* Printing certified copies

* Receiving payments

* Preparing mailings of certificates

REQUIREMENTS:

* General or technical high school diploma or equivalent

* Minimum two (2) years of general clerical experience - preferably in a clinic, daycare, or customer service setting

* An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training will be considered.

* Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
