The Impact You Will MakeThe Facilities and Construction Planneris responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing facility-related projects, capital improvements, and contracted maintenance services. This role exercises independent judgment in prioritizing work, developing project plans, managing vendor relationships,monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The position serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external service providers to support facility reliability, operational efficiency, and business continuity.
RoleResponsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities
- Develop and manage facility maintenance, renovation, and construction project plans, schedules, and priorities.
- Evaluate facility needs and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency, safety, and spaceutilization.
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and service providers, includingscopedevelopment, vendor selection, contract administration, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor project budgets, review expenditures, and provide recommendationsregardingcapital and operating expenses.
- Exercise independent judgment in balancing business priorities, project timelines, resource allocation, and operational impacts.
- Lead cross-functional project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
- Assess facility systems and infrastructure needs and recommend preventive or corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, revise, and implement facility-related procedures, standards, and documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee facility improvement initiatives and capital projects from planning through execution and closeout.
- Investigate facility issues and determine appropriate corrective actions to minimize operational disruption.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work in office, manufacturing, construction, and facility environments.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate indoor and outdoor work areas, including uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and perform repetitive hand movements during daily activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and other equipment as required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with appropriate assistance or equipment when necessary.
- Visual acuity sufficient to inspect facilities, equipment, and construction work and to read technical drawings, specifications, and written materials.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Industrial Technology, a related technical discipline, or completion of an accredited trade school program.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in facilities management, construction planning, project management, maintenance operations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving facility-related challenges.
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with applicable safety regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, and GMP standards.
