About The Role
As a Project Manager, Field Planning Client Readiness, you will help prepare tax offices for seasonal and operational changes that affect associates and clients. You will manage projects that bring together workforce planning, client readiness, and knowledge management activities so teams have the guidance, resources, and information they need to execute with confidence. This role is important because clear planning and reliable information help tax offices deliver a consistent client experience.
You will work with business partners and leaders to identify needs, remove barriers, and turn feedback into practical solutions that support successful implementation. This position may support a variety of projects throughout the year based on business priorities, seasonal needs, and readiness efforts.
- Manage workforce readiness and knowledge governance projects that support seasonal and operational execution.
- Coordinate hiring, training, certification, compensation readiness, scheduling, capacity management, specialties, and recruiting work streams.
- Partner with Workforce Planning, Training, People and Culture, Finance, Operations, Communications, Product teams, Advisors, and field leaders.
- Maintain readiness plans, calendars, roadmaps, milestones, risks, decisions, and status updates.
- Support and maintain employee guidance, procedures, training resources, job aids, shared team sites, and other reference materials that help tax offices prepare for daily operations.
- Translate operational changes into clear guidance, leader resources, frequently asked questions, and readiness materials for tax offices.
- Gather field feedback, operational insights, and performance themes to identify risks, barriers, and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate readiness discussions to align stakeholders, confirm decisions, and clarify next steps.
- Document contact strategy artifacts, inventories, lessons learned, and recommendations to improve future readiness work.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
- 3 years minimum related work experience in project management, operations, field support, business readiness, communications, knowledge management, or related work
- Demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and multiple projects or work streams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and collaboration or project management tools
- PMP certification, equivalent project management training, or completed coursework toward project management certification
- Experience in tax, financial services, retail, seasonal operations, field leadership, consulting, or other operationally complex environments
- Experience supporting client readiness, workforce readiness, business readiness, product readiness, or associate enablement
- Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, staffing, or tax office execution practices
- Experience using dashboards, operational metrics, feedback themes, or performance insights to support project decisions
- Experience with governance, compliance, risk management, content quality, knowledge management, or documentation practices
- Experience in a consulting environment
- Some tax or financial background
