Middle School Teacher

Job Summary


The Middle School Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in a faith-centered learning environment that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students in grades 6-8. The teacher supports the mission of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church by modeling Christian values and fostering a respectful, engaging classroom culture.


Job Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective instruction aligned with school curriculum standards and diocesan guidelines
• Create a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student learning and appropriate behavior
• Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and classroom practices
• Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and assessments, and maintain accurate academic records
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate student progress with families
• Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of all students
• Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior and classroom routines
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success and school initiatives
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and required school events
• Supervise students during assigned duties throughout the school day
• Maintain compliance with school policies, diocesan requirements, and professional standards

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required
• Valid teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification as required
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church
