District Substitute Teacher; K-4

Full Time District Substitute Teacher

Orchard Farm School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our educational team as a Full Time District Substitute Teacher. This full‑time position is a vital part of the school community, ensuring students receive quality instruction to achieve the learning objective during a teacher's absences.

• Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate
• Missouri Teacher Certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations and law
• Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies
• Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction
• Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
• Ability to follow written and oral communication
• Ability to problem solve

• Deliver group and/or individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines as assigned by classroom teacher or building administrator in grades K-4 as needed.
• Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Model conversation, manners, cleanup activities, listening skills, etc. for the purpose of demonstrating appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
• Monitor students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
• Report incidents (e.g., fights, suspected child abuse, suspected substance abuse, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment and adhering to Education Code and school policies.
• Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.

District Substitutes must be available to teach at all locations if needed other than their assigned location.
