Job Summary

Faculty and instructors are responsible for curriculum, teaching, service, scholarship, and related administrative activities that support the mission, vision, and values of the university.

The College of Education and Human Services at Lindenwood University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling.

Qualified applicants will possess a doctorate in counseling. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses (12 credit hours) each semester. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life.

The Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin Fall 2026. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Priority given to applicants with deep knowledge of Missouri requirements for certification in School Counseling, with preference given to applicants who hold Missouri School Counseling certification or who can readily obtain such certification.
