Aide - Classroom
St. Joseph Catholic School is seeking qualified, dependable, and faith-supportive Substitute Teachers to provide instructional continuity and classroom supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Substitute Teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, implementing lesson plans provided by the teacher, and supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility, effective classroom management skills, professionalism, and a commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all students.
Job Responsibilities
- Classroom Instruction
- Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the teacher.
- Deliver instruction and facilitate learning activities in accordance with established classroom expectations.
- Adapt to varying grade levels, subjects, and classroom environments as assigned.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in learning activities.
- Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.
- Enforce school and classroom rules, policies, and procedures.
- Address student behavior concerns in a professional and consistent manner.
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned activities.
Job Requirements
- Ability to supervise and engage students in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
