This is a 9.5‑month position, 7 hours per day (87.5% of full‑time). The role supports early childhood education across the 2026‑2027 school year.

• Ability to organize and prepare classroom lessons and materials.
• Thorough knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures used in teaching.
• Desire to work with and educate children.
• Ability to motivate others, be creative, flexible, and patient.
• To work under the direct supervision of an appropriately certified teacher to provide instructional assistance, paraprofessionals must:
• Obtain 60 college credit hours, or
• Have passed the Para Pro Assessment (before September 23, 2013), or
• Have passed the Paraprofessional Assessment through Pearson (September 23, 2013 through June 20, 2024), or
• Have passed the Para Pro Assessment through ETS (July 1, 2024 forward), or
• Completed the 20‑HR Substitute Certificate Course.
