Position: Senior Staff Development Training Specialist (DD0DD0033-072026)
Location: St. Charles

The Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) seeks to hire two Senior Staff Development Training Specialists. These are central office positions. Domicile is negotiable.

The base salary offered for each position is up to $66,938.16 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.

  • Coordinate and develop training for initiatives within DDD as assigned.
  • Monitor training contracts and budgets.
  • Assess, identify and manage training programs such as Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), Self-Directed Services, Support Coordination, among others.
  • Review feedback on training performance and make improvements .
  • Provide technical assistance and training.
  • Monitor and document trends in technical assistance and training needs.
  • Follow and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Maintain a knowledge base/FAQ of all training programs assigned.
  • Transport materials and set up training rooms throughout Missouri.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years of professional experience in statewide training, instructional design, or other closely related areas; and possession of a Bachelor's degree with specialization in Social Work, Psychology or Public Administration or other closely related areas. (Additional years of general qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required educational qualifications).
  • Knowledgeable of initiatives within DDD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance.
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design best practices.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Knowledgeable of IDD services.
  • Enhancing system efficiency.
  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements.
  • Proofreading and editing.
