Position: Speech & Debate Assistant Coach
Stipend: Minimum $2,583
Purpose Statement

Extra-curricular activities are an important extension of the student experience. The Assistant Coach will inspire, motivate, and teach students skills related to Speech & Debate while building positive character traits and meaningful relationships with students.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with the supervision and instruction of student participants during practices and competitions
• Support the development of students' communication, critical thinking, and performance skills
• Help organize and implement practice plans and competition preparation
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive student behavior
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
• Assist with coordination of events, competitions, and related activities
• Work collaboratively with the head coach and building staff

• FHSD Non-Certified Employees
• Qualified external candidates

• Completion of 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching

• School setting with after school, evening, and possible weekend responsibilities
• Travel to competitions may be required
