Training Facilitator – Quality Education Specialist Job Summary
The Quality Education Specialist (QES) will deliver comprehensive training to all new and existing staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver clear, effective, high-quality training to new hires and existing team members.
- Instruct First Aid, CPR, De-escalation, food textures, and all other Emmaus training courses.
- Facilitate training in a way that supports different learning styles.
- Assess the employees’ retention of the training material, readiness for certification, and provide individual support, coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate cross functionally to share best practices, network, and solicit input on how to improve the effectiveness of training.
- Participate in committees or work groups as needed for company wide initiatives or special projects.
- Gain and maintain subject matter expertise in E-learning.
- Regularly use a Learning Management System for developing or searching modules, running reports, and monitoring and reporting progress.
- Instruct external participants in First Aid, CPR and Mandt in the Learning Lab.
Education and/or Experience
- HS diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or healthcare preferred.
- Previous experience delivering instructor-led training in classroom or group environments is preferred.
- Exceptional facilitation or public speaking skills required.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of accreditation standards is preferred.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation is highly preferred.
- Intermediate skills using, Microsoft Office 365 products, Relias LMS, Quick Mar/electronic medication administration system, THERAP/electronic client record system, and time and attendance system preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to acquire and maintain instructor certification for Mandt System, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid, Tools of Choice training as well as certifications deemed necessary through regulatory agencies or best practices required.
- Must be open to working primarily days, a few evenings every month and a couple of Saturdays a year.
