System Engineer - Systems Architecting

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team located in Saint Charles, Missouri.

This role supports Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) and Precision Engagement Systems (PES) within the Direct Attack programs, including Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and related derivatives) used on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and future contract awards.

As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, PES is a dynamic and growing team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions. The programs supported in Saint Charles, MO include Direct Attack weapons utilized on various platforms.

• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a life-cycle balanced system of systems and system solution(s) meeting customer/operational needs and public acceptability.
• Defines system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and ensures compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture(s).
• Performs affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty engineering analyses to obtain a preferred configuration which assures mission success.
• Adheres to applicable engineering classifications and collective bargaining agreements where SPEEA applies.

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO or similar SysML-compatible tools for systems architecture and model development.
• Experience and/or domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation.

Pay Rate Range
: 75 - 80 USD hourly
