We are looking for a Test Program Avionics Technician who will be responsible for developing, assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting test applications used with company test equipment. Test applications include adaptor cables, interface assemblies, and software‑driven test procedures for a wide variety of DoD aircraft platforms, including helicopters, fighter aircraft, large transport aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The role is ideal for military veterans with avionics, electrical, aircraft maintenance, or flightline experience.
The technician will work closely with engineers, program managers, and other technical personnel to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, reliability, and aircraft maintainability. Position requires strong troubleshooting skills, mission‑focused attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in both shop and operational environments.
- 2-5 years of experience in avionics maintenance, aircraft electrical systems, cable assembly, or automated test equipment support
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, aircraft maintenance manuals, and technical publications
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems using standard electronic test equipment
- Familiarity with military or commercial aircraft avionics systems, circular connectors, and aerospace wiring practices
- Experience with automated cable test equipment such as AWTS, DIT‑MCO, CK Technologies, or Cable Test is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of configuration management, technical documentation, and quality assurance processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to travel domestically up to 40% annually to customer and military installation sites
- Associate degree or higher, technical school certification, military avionics training, or equivalent hands‑on avionics/electrical maintenance experience
- Military aviation maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages such as ELITE, Python, or VBScript is preferred
