Senior Systems Engineer

Position Overview

Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team in Saint Charles, Missouri. The role is 100% onsite and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. The position is located in Saint Charles, Missouri and is for a 1st shift.

• Lead and coordinate the activities of a team of 3–10 members and 5–8 matrixed organizations.
• Assess the technical performance of systems or system elements, products or services and influence product direction to meet technical objectives.
• Use integrated program planning to align system development efforts with customer needs and business goals, tracking key performance metrics.
• Maintain status in Earned Value Management, JIRA, calendar, and related trackers.
• Manage system risk and maturity by regularly assessing the system’s status throughout the program lifecycle.
• Apply the Boeing Systems Engineering Business Process Integration (BPI), Business Process Guidelines (BPG), Decision Processes, SEBPs, and ESGP or equivalent processes.
• Mentor early–career engineers and senior engineers transitioning to the Systems Engineering Discipline.
• Steer the development of processes in collaboration with division and other experts.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the work.
• Typically 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

• Active DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience applying engineering processes and principles.
• Knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification and validation.
• Experience with systems development, integration, modeling or simulation.
• Experience with systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics such as Earned Value Management, DOORs, CAMEO.
• Experience with Model‑Based Engineering or Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
• Experience in design, electrical, software engineering and analysis.
• Experience in Industrial or Production Engineering.
• Experience leading teams, projects or tasks.

• Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• U.S. Person status required to comply with U.S. export control regulations.
• Position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
• Position is for 1st shift.

Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay ranges for Senior Level 5 positions are $164,900–$223,100.
