Position Overview:

We are seeking a Design Engineer II to join a dynamic engineering team supporting high‑impact manufacturing and product development initiatives. This role is ideal for a mid‑level engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and cross‑functional collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of products and systems used in industrial and consumer applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine mechanical designs using CAD software (Solid Works, Creo, or equivalent).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to ensure design feasibility and performance.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and FMEA to ensure robust product development.
  • Support prototype development and testing, interpreting results to guide design improvements.
  • Maintain documentation and design records in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
  • Provide technical support for production processes and troubleshoot design‑related issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
  • Experience with design validation, testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred

Skills:

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
