Environmental Project Manager

Position Overview

As an Environmental Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our St. Louis office, you will manage current clients and develop new business, oversee projects, mentor junior staff, and provide senior direction across real estate, manufacturing, industrial, governmental, waste management, and energy sectors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus)
• 10+ years of applicable experience in hazardous waste site investigation/remediation
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgeting, and cost control
• Experience supervising technical and administrative staff
• Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills
• Business development and client management experience
• Experience with due diligence, regulatory compliance, and environmental management system audits
• Phase I/II environmental assessments for real‑estate development
• Site investigation/remediation under state voluntary programs, CERCLA, and RCRA Corrective Action
• Environmental compliance experience (spill response plans, water/waste permitting, compliance audits, etc.)
• Existing client connections
