Position Responsibilities:Level 3
- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
- Works under general direction.

- Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
- Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
- Works under minimal direction.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
- Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience performing hand calculations, using industry CAD system (NX/Teamcenter), FEM software (ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stress check, Hyperworks).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
- Experience with Boeing Analysis Tools (CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation).
- Structural analysis experience on military or commercial aircraft.
This position is for 1st and 2nd shift; however, variable shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) may be required to support program objectives. It may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
