Financial Systems & Innovation Manager

Job Summary

The Financial Systems and Innovation Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of new accounting and finance systems and processes and supporting other key financial projects. This role ensures accurate transaction processing, validates internal controls, and facilitates effective information flow for financial reporting, analysis, and planning. In addition to supporting the various projects directly, the manager will also support the finance organization projects in a project management role.

The manager collaborates with IT, accounting, finance and other departments to drive system improvements, automation, and innovation in accounting and finance workflows.

• Manage implementation of new accounting and finance systems and processes
• Collaborate with IT to develop and automate operational reports
• Provide recommendations to improve existing accounting and finance workflows
• Facilitate information flow for financial reporting, analysis, and planning
• Ensure accuracy of transaction processing from source systems through general ledger
• Support the development and assessment of the design and/or operating effectiveness of internal controls
• Serve as liaison between controllership and finance staff, IT, and other related departments
• Assist in development of controllership and finance staff training materials and policy/procedure documentation
• Supporting the deployment and use of finance and controllership systems
• Provide project management support to various finance projects

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Knowledge of accounting and finance transactional flows
• Proficiency working with SAP, reconciliation tools, Power BI, task management and consolidation software
• Practical experience in configurations, integrations, implementations/upgrades, user testing, training, and support
• Experience developing policies and procedures documentation
• Experience in project management
