Inventory and Logistics Tech I - Temporary

Employed as an Inventory & Logistics Technician I, this position is primarily responsible for handling and processing incoming and outgoing shipments of samples and supplies under direct supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receives shipments of samples and reagents for testing and completes all required paperwork and documentation.
  • Checks in and transfers samples and reagents with appropriate accountability and tracking.
  • Maintains organization of short‑ and long‑term storage for each shipment, ensuring documentation for disposition is complete.
  • Maintains organization of the Sample Management, Freezer Room, and Warehouse areas and keeps freezers operating to preserve sample integrity.
  • Disposes of and/or returns samples and reagents upon client request.
  • Coordinates with other staff to resolve problems and documents actions appropriately.
  • Receives all deliveries, sorts, distributes, and stores supplies as needed, completing and distributing associated paperwork.
  • Applies use of IT systems (ERP, LIMs, etc.) as required and demonstrates proficiency in the Watson LIMS program.
  • Packages and ships outgoing samples, reagents, supplies, and documents in accordance with IATA regulations.
  • Works effectively as a member of a team.
  • Understands and follows all procedures and processes required for regulatory and safety compliance (e.g., FDA GxP Regulations, OECD, CLIA, etc.).
  • Adjusts work hours as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Conducts all activities safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Applies GMP/GLP principles in all areas of responsibility, where applicable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with Windows software (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
  • Proficient in mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory setting meeting the physical requirements.
  • Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required at certain times of the year.
