Job Summary
The Café Aide supports the cafeteria's operations by monitoring student behavior, assisting students, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Students:
Help students with tasks like opening packages and locating food lines.
* Emergency Support:
Assist in evacuations and ensure student safety during emergencies.
* Maintain Order:
Keep the cafeteria clean and orderly, and remind students of proper behavior.
* Supervise:
Monitor students to ensure a safe and positive environment.
* Promote Social
Skills:
Encourage good social behavior among students.
* Respond to Inquiries:
Provide information and direction as needed.
* Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
* Experience:
Some job-related experience is desired.
* Skills:
* Adherence to safety practices
* Basic communication and record-keeping
* Operation of standard equipment
* Knowledge:
* Basic math
* Child development stages
* Relevant policies and regulations
* Abilities:
* Manage tasks effectively
* Work well with others
* Problem-solve independently
* Maintain confidentiality
* Adapt to changes
