Hours:
3 days per week at 12‑hour shifts - Full‑Time – 40 hours per week

- Training will be on day shift at 5 days per week for about 3 months before moving to the 3 days per week rotating schedule
- Associate degree or higher in a related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R)
- 2 or more years of radiology experience
- OR MRI Technologist / Operating Room MRI Tech, Imaging Specialist – Operating Room;
Interventional MRI Technologist;

Role PurposePerforms diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (MRI, CT, IVR, mammography, bone density, cardiac catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in absence.
Assists in development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to advanced modality techs.
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
- Oversees shift operations including daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities to meet department needs. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
- Serves as clinical resource and expert for technologists, including problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.
- Serves as clinical liaison between team and supervisor. Ensures proper information is communicated and escalated appropriately. Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.
- Education: Associate degree or trade‑school equivalent.

IEMA—Illinois only (exclude MRI); RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.
