Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Location: St. Charles, MO
Schedule: PRN Days – no set days, as needed for PTO coverage
Compensation: $35 per hour (PRN)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,250 (no commitment)
About the HospitalSelect Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. PTAs play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services, including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities.
- Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist.
- Assist PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients’ long‑term goals (strengthening, coordination, balance exercises, posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills, community re‑entry training, joint mobility, muscle lengthening, pain relief).
- Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
- Extensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition.

- Valid state PTA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
