About

The Role

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining, modernizing, and optimizing Millstone Weber's Microsoft-based technology environment. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management, with a strong focus on improving system performance, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the Microsoft Azure environment, including reviewing and modernizing systems.
  • Lead improvements to SharePoint Online.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Intune, and related identity and security components.
  • Package, deploy, and update software across company devices, enabling automated self-installation and reducing manual intervention.
  • Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts to support automation, deployments, and system administration.
  • Oversee Windows operating system configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Support networking and wireless infrastructure as it relates to endpoint connectivity and system performance.
  • Manage certificate services and PKI-related components.
  • Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting complex infrastructure and endpoint issues, occasionally working directly with internal users or teams.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to bring modern best practices and up-to-date technical expertise to the organization.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering roles, with hands‑on responsibility for Microsoft-based environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience supporting and modernizing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments in a production setting.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Intune, including configuration, optimization, and ongoing support.
  • Proven ability to package, deploy, and maintain software across Windows-based devices using modern deployment tools.
  • Working knowledge of Power Shell for automation, scripting, and system administration tasks.
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, endpoint management, and device lifecycle processes including Autopilot deployment.
  • General knowledge of networking and wireless fundamentals as they relate to endpoint connectivity and system performance.
  • Experience with certificate services and PKI concepts.
  • Ability to assess, improve, and modernize legacy or aging systems in a cloud-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams and occasionally troubleshoot issues directly with users.
  • SQL or database experience is a plus, but not required.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Office-based in St. Charles, MO.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving technology needs.
